Since March 14, 2008, two new vocabularies, CNN and BBC, have been created to describe what the western media really looks like due to the Tibet event.
Definition:
CNN:from Cable News Network to Cheating News Network
BBC:from British Broadcasting Corporation to Bias Broadcasting Corporation
They both mean: to defraud; swindle; to deceive; influence by fraud; to elude; deprive of something expected; to fabricate; make something up:
–verb (used with object) (及物动词) (p.& pp. CNNed or BBCed)
The western media CNNed or BBCed the world out of its consciousness.
–verb (used without object) (不及物动词)
The western media CNNed or BBCed without an official apology.
–noun (名词)
The headline of the newspaper was a CNN or a BBC.
–adjective (形容词) CNNy or BBCy
He is so CNNy or BBCy that I can not trsut him at all.
–comparative (比较级) CNNier or BBCier
The breaking news of CNN or BBC are CNNier or BBCier than those of any other media in the owrld.
- Superlative (最高级) CNNiest or BBCiest
The story reported by CNN or BBC is the CNNiest or the BBCiest among the media worldwide.
–adverb (副词) CNNily or BBCily
I trust that the latest Tibet event has been CNNily or BBCily made up by the western media.
