After almost five months of staying in Bogota, basically Home-University-Home, I’m going on a trip!

The destination: Natural park El Cocuy, Colombia. Closer to Venezuela than it is toBogota, El Cocuy is a mountain range that goes up to 5300 meters above sea level (masl)! There is even snow (in Colombia that is a definitely a WOW).

Most of the landscape is Paramo, a certain type of ecosystem only found in South America, which Colombia has more than 60% of it. It starts at 2800 masl and finishes where the snow begins (4200masl).

We are going to camp, enjoy the stars, the silence and what I enjoy the most the cool fresh air.

I’m leaving today, be back on Monday.

Why keeping this blog alive? It’s hard to say. I’ve had it for almost three years now, and it was my daily contact with the world for over two years. I guess it’s just a bit nostalgic.

Hello world! I haven’t written anything for the last couple of months, I’ve been studying and there hasn’t been much free time for blogging, never mind traveling…
Anyhow I’ll try to keep this blog alive at least posting some pictures I’ve been taking.
